November 2022
Hello!
Close to the end of the year! Can’t believe another one is gonna be gone soon. Anyways on with the post!
The most exciting thing this month was that Kahran and I finished the first season of our podcast! Did you know that most podcasts never make it to episode 7? So one of my goals with this podcast was to reach beyond 7 and have a system setup where we are regularly updating podcast episodes, and I am so glad we were able to. And not only were we able to produce the episodes, we were also able to improve the podcast in multiple dimensions, from what we talk about, to how we talk, to finding ways in which we can improve the production. I am super excited about the coming season which we will start soon!
I also setup a stall at art mandi this month along with Crayoncat(Monica). Almost an entire week was spent in that, going to the printer, collecting things, figuring out how to setup the stall etc etc. But it was a super fun experience, to do it. Hopefully we will get to setup more such stalls in the coming year. It also motivated me to start preparing more merch designs, and finding vendors which can make interesting merch.
The last thing that I am super excited to talk about is, that I finally opened up my calendar for consulting people on product strategy. I have been doing consulting on an off over the course of this year, and I have really enjoyed it, and I was playing in my mind for a long time with the idea of formally starting it, and there was a lot of hesitation as well. I havent done outbound marketing ever before, and I havent really thought about how I wanted to do it. One of the biggest issues with having experience is that once you have experience in some area you can get to this weird space of I dont want to do something that I dont know how to do. So it took a bit of thinking and self convincing but I think I am getting to a spot that feels like I want to do this more frequently. Talking to people is always fun, and it always helps me learn a few things.
I am unsure if the next update I want to do for the month or for the year, or if I want to do two different updates. The idea of a “what have I done” is always interesting compared to “what am I supposed to do”. We are all used to to do lists, but I suppose as someone who hasn’t yet had to make a resume, the idea of a “Done” list feels foreign, but this monthly post idea has been super interesting.
I am super excited about the coming year and what it will bring.
